SECRET NIGHTLIFE IN MERIDA: ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

If we talk about traveling to the peninsula, you cannot leave without visiting Mérida and experiencing its nightlife. You will be surprised to discover all the options this beautiful city has to offer. There is only one way to find it out and it’s to live it yourself!

One of the great advantages of visiting Merida is the large number of artistic, cultural and recreational activities it offers. No matter if it’s day or night, the city always has something going on to entertain you. If your mood is to dance all night long, why not? Or sit down to enjoy a delicious sorbet while enjoying the view of Paseo Montejo, where everything is worth it.

Two perspectives

We can say that the nightlife in Mérida is divided into two scenarios; in the center we find more tourist-oriented options. And in the northern part of the city, we find places mostly frequented by locals.

Downtown

Sorbet and Ice Cream Colón in Calle 56 47A, Paseo Montejo Area, Downtown. To enjoy something cold in the fresh air on a beautiful avenue.

Santa Lucía park. Located in the city center on Calle 60 476A. An option to dine with your partner or friends while listening to Yucatecan trova.

Theatres. If you are looking to enjoy entertainment, the theatre is always a good idea. You can check the billboards on social networks or directly in the enclosures:

  • Teatro Armando Manzanero
  • Teatro Daniel Ayala
  • Teatro Peón Contreras
  • Centro Cultural Tapanco
  • Foro Alternativo Rubén Chacón

Night of legends. An interactive outdoor experience that tells you about the popular Yucatecan legends. On Calle 60 490 in the park of Santa Lucía.

Catrinas Bar. Good music and good food, for a great night with friends. Calle 56 #425, Paseo Montejo Area.

La Pulquerida. The famous Latin canteen of the city. It is known for having a good musical repertoire. You find it on Calle 70 #474, Santiago park.

La Negrita. Preferred by many and hated by others. It is one of the night clubs with the highest demand in the city due to its good atmosphere, craft beer and cocktails. It is located on Calle 62 # 415, Center.

Zona Norte

SENS. Contemporary music, good atmosphere and great service. Located in one of the largest squares in the city: Plaza La Isla.

Shotimilco (Plaza Mangus). Mexican humour is present and merges with Latin urban music and Spanish classics.

Tequila (Av. Andrés García Lavín, San Ramón Norte). Preferred by many, since it is usually always at its maximum capacity, this club has something that makes everyone dance and have fun. Walk around and you will see it yourself.

Classico Península (Calle 11 #640, Santa Gertrudis Copo). As the name tells us, it is one of the most classiest night clubs in the peninsula, the good atmosphere here is something serious.

Regina Gin & Kitchen (Sky City, San Ramón Norte). Despite being a new concept in the city, Regina manages to attract people with its gastronomic offer accompanied by live DJ’s and an impressive view.

Most places are on social media where you can find updates on their promotions every day. I assure you that you will have fun wherever you go. Tell us about your experience in the comments below.
